Overview of Budgets

Navigate to Brokerage Engine

Click "Accounting"

Click "Settings"

Click "Budgets"

The Budget Dashboard will populate. You can search by Budget Name or Period (Year).
Create a New Budget

Click "New Budget"

Click the "Budget Name" field to name the Budget.

Select the Fiscal Year from the dropdown menu.

Pick a period for the Budget from the dropdown menu.

Select whether to pull the Actual Data from the Profit & Loss Statement for the period.

Select whether to subdivide the Budget by Class.

Click "Next"

The Budget Detail will then populate.

Manual changes can be done to the numbers by clicking on the desired fields.

Once finished, click "Save".

Click "OK"

The Budget can now be duplicated or deleted by making a choice from the dropdown menu.
Generate a Budget Overview Report

From the Budgets Dashboard, click on the arrow on the "Reports" button to populate the dropdown menu.

Click "Budget Overview Report"

The report and its graphs will then populate.

A new Budget can be selected to be displayed.

Click on the small calendar icons to adjust the data range.

Click "Generate"
Create a Budget vs Actuals Report

From the Budgets Dashboard, click on the arrow on the "Reports" button to populate the dropdown menu.

Click "Budget vs Actuals Report"

The report and its graphs will then populate.

A new Budget can be selected to be displayed.

Click on the small calendar icons to adjust the data range.

Click "Select Compare Period" to add comparison periods to the Report.

Make one or multiple selections.

Click "Close"

The Report and its graphs will then populate with the adjusted data.
