Panel Customization

This guide offers a overview of the Cephable Panel, highlighting its customizable features to enhance user experience across applications. It details how users can personalize the panel's layout and functionality to suit their preferences.

The Cephable Panel is always on top of every application and has all the functionality you can do with Cephable across your applications.

The Cephable Desktop App is open with the main dashboard window on the left, and the panel on the right.

The first section is the Microphone / Voice Section. \ \ When the microphone is turned on, the section lets you select your microphone input device, switch modes like Commands or Dictation, Listening or Paused States.

The click target is on the Toggle Microphone Button.

The Camera section renders a video stream of your camera. On Mac, this can be simultaneously with other apps also having the camera turned on. However, on Windows, this does not work and if running camera on Cephable doesn't work - make sure the camera is not turned on any other app.\ \ When the camera is turned on, the section lets you select your camera device, switch baselines, pause and restart states for head movements, facial expressions, and head mouse control.

Click target is on the Camera Toggle in the panel.

Quick Actions are a mapping of custom and all available app control actions. This can have things like Typeback controls that make form filling easier, or seamless touch screen funcitonality across apps.

Intelligent Tasks are Private, Offline, On-Device AI related generative content. This is used to maintain app context, work across applications, while preserving security and confidentiality of the content a user interacts with.

The click target is on the Intelligent Tasks section.

App Controls expose to the user available voice or camera controls they can use to interact with applications. If Auto App Control Switching is turned on, then the name for App Controls changes to reflect that, and the inner content too.

Global and Device Controls, or Always-On Controls are always-on voice controls that a user can use across applications regardless of the app they are on. Global controls are universal Cephable Controls that work across connections. Device Controls like "Open <App Name>" only work when the device you are controlling with Cephable is the laptop / computer that is running the current Cephable App.

You can collapse the panel by clicking on the collapse button at the top right of the panel. Or clicking Alt / Option + P Keyboard Shortcut (It may conflict with other apps).

By collapsing the panel, you can drag it to be anywhere on the same vertical line on the screen.

Drag the panel thumb to the bottom or top to move it out of the center.

Expand panel to notice that the expanded contents have also been offset to where the panel thumb was moved.

The expanded panel content is now starting from the bottom left of the screen.

To further customize the Panel Experience, click the General App Settings in the Dashboard Settings Window.

Things like Panel position, sections, and more can be customized from the General App Settings page.

You can change the panel to be on the left side.

You can also remove sections from the panel, if you are not using it, from here.

If you have familiarized yourself with available voice and camera app controls you can use with a given app control, then you can remove this section too.

Make sure to click save. This will change the panel settings immediately.

The panel thumb has now moved to the left side. In the same horizontal line as where it was before.

Expanding the Panel also reveals that the content is also on the left side, offset from where the panel thumb has been moved to.

Collapsing the panel on the left side, also allows it to be draggable and repositioned.

The panel thumb can be dragged to anywhere on the left side too.

The panel thumb has been dragged to the bottom left of the screen. You can also do anywhere on that y-axis.

If the panel sections expanded get too big, there is a scroll option on the panel to render more content on the screen.

The panel is expanded with quick action buttons. This takes the entirety of the screen window. But now a scroll bar is also visible on the left side, allowing the user to scroll within and across sections.
