1
Open the Pocket app on your phone: Launch the Pocket app from your home screen. Make sure Bluetooth is on and your Pocket is nearby.
2
In the Home screen, tap **Start Sync**
3
Click on Wi-Fi Sync: Choose **Wi-Fi Sync** to begin the direct device-to-phone transfer.
4
Wait for the Wifi Connection Pop-up: A system sheet will appear prompting you to join Pocket’s temporary Wi-Fi.
5
Click Join on the Wi-Fi Pop-up: Tap **Join** to connect to the Pocket_XXXX network shown in the prompt.
6
Wait for the transfer to start: Give it a moment; you’ll see the transfer/progress indicator begin in the app.
7
Once you see the transfer has kicked off, open your device settings: With the transfer running, leave the app and open **Settings** on your phone.
8
Tap on your phone's Settings, In **Settings**, go to **Wi-Fi** to view your current network.
9
Open Wifi Settings, you will see Pocket's wifi already connected to your Phone, click on the "i" icon: Confirm you’re connected to the **Pocket_XXXX** network. Tap the **ⓘ** info icon next to it.
10
Scroll down to find Configure DNS and tap on it: In the network details, locate **Configure DNS** and open it.
11
Select Manual instead of Automatic: Change DNS from **Automatic** to **Manual**.
12
Now click on remove icon and it will delete and existing records: Tap the **–** (remove) button to delete any existing DNS servers so the list is empty.
13
Now click on Add Server: Tap **Add Server** to create a new DNS entry.
14
Type "0.0.0.0" into the box: Enter **0.0.0.0** exactly as shown.
15
Tap **Save**. That’s it! This prevents your phone from probing for internet on Pocket’s local Wi-Fi, so transfers don’t hang. (We have already fixed this issue in upcoming Pocket device firmware upgrade so tweak won't be needed in the future)
Go ahead and try Wi-Fi Sync again in the app, this time it should complete successfully.
