Printing a Pedigree for a Dog

To go to the pedigree for your dog, click on Genealogy in the left menu.

Now click on the Pedigree tab.

To print the pedigree, click on the print button in the top right of the screen.

In the [[Print File Type]] field you can choose to print the pedigree either to PDF or to JPEG (image). [[Paper Size]] can be either A4 or Letter (US format). You can also select to print the pedigree in any of the available Dog Breeder Pro languages.

In the [[Colors and Font]] section you can select the [[Border color]], [[Background color]], [[Font color]] and [[Font Family]].

In the [[Fields to include]] section you can specify which fields are included for each of the dogs on your pedigree.

In the [[Other options]] section you can specify a number of other parameters to determine what your pedigree will look like: [[Pedigree Border]] specifies whether there should be a border around the pedigree. [[PDF Margin]] specifies how large the page margin of the pedigree should be: None, Small or Large. [[Generations]] specifies how many generations the pedigree should be for: 3, 4 or 5. [[Photos]] specifies for how many generations photos should be displayed: None, 1, 2 or 3. [[Highlight Duplicates]] prints duplicate dogs in a different color (one color for each set of duplicates). [[Titles in red]] will print all dogs with chamion titles in red. [[Kennel Logo]] specifies whether your kennel logo will be included in the pedigree. Note that you first have to add your kennel logo in your user settings. [[Watermark]] specifies whether to include your kennel logo as a watermark on your pedigree. Note that you first have to add your kennel logo in your user settings. [[Signature]] specifies whether to include a signature/date section at the bottom of the pedigree.

To create the pedigree click the [[Print]] button. Some browsers will open the created PDF file in a new browser tab instead of simply downloading it. Note that printing from this browser-loaded PDF uses the browser print settings and this sometimes causes the PDF to print incorrectly. If this happens to you then you need to change the print settings of the browser, or open the downloaded pedigree in your system PDF viewer and print it from their.
