Quick Action Buttons

One of the most popular features of Cephable are quick action buttons. These are buttons that you can play for tap in order to trigger actions in your different applications. They're mapped to different controls within your specific app controls and you can customize them as much as you want. You can access and use these buttons either from the panel or using the Cephable companion app.

To get started using Quick Actions, you can go ahead on the panel and expand the Quick Action Buttons.

Expand the section to see your quick actions and buttons. You can expand by clicking on the arrow next to the Quick Actions label in the panel.

The first section you have available is custom actions that are quick actions you can take based on your custom workflow. By default, these are the first 10 actions on any app control. For example, in my Outlook app control, I can click Create New Email in my Outlook app.

You can also take other actions like sending an email message.

The focus is on Send Email Message button in the Quick Action section in the panel.

Beyond custom buttons you also have access to all app controls which are a 1-1 mapping with the available actions you can take on an app. To do this, click the All App Controls button in the Quick Action section.

There is a second button next to custom buttons that is called All App Controls which gives you more available quick action buttons.

The all app control section within Quick Actions is a far larger list, so use the scroll functionality to be able to use more of them. This larger list is not available in the Cephable companion app as of now. But might be in the future.

There are hundreds of Outlook Quick Actions that are now available to the user. The current focused button is Open Selected Contact.

You can always add or customize your quick action buttons by clicking on Edit App Controls under the current controls drop down in the dashboard.

Under current controls for Microsoft Outlook Windows, there is a button that says edit app controls. Click this to customize your own quick action buttons.

In my custom outlook app control, I have a lead outreach email control.

There is a list of available controls that you can edit and customize. The first is a lead outreach email.

Expanding the lead outreach email control. We can see that there is a "tap lead outreach email" custom quick action mapped and a "say outreach" voice action mapped. This is outputting type for an insurance email outreach template.

Expanding any of the controls gives a preview on what inputs a control can take to do the expected output. In this case the inputs are quick action buttons and voice commands, outputting to a type outreach email.

You can edit the control by clicking the edit button at the bottom of the expanded section.

Below the type content in the expanded control section, there are three buttons that allow you to manage this control. Edit, copy, and delete.

You can edit an existing quick action button display name by going to the input controls in this edit view and clicking quick action button display name. Then you can use any custom naming for the action you would like. You can also add quick action buttons to your control by clicking add another input.

The click target is on the quick action display name text input. And the rectangle is on add another input at the bottom of the input controls subsection of this edit view.

You can set the output expected action by customizing steps. In this example, the lead outreach email has two steps for weather insurance coverage. The first type step is the subject line.

The first step is a type step that has a phrase for the subject line. The phrase reads "Protect What Matters — Let's Talk About Your Weather Risk Coverage 🌦️"

You can combine multiple steps for one button to do more with less. In the example, the lead outreach email has a second type step for the body message of an email.

The insurance outreach email has body content talking about how the insurance can provide help for their client given that there has been a lot of weather changes in the past and outlines some protections and coverages will help them in the future, given that the risk of storms continues to happen.

When you are done creating or customizing your control, you can go ahead and click Finish Edit.

At the bottom of the steps there are now three buttons for copy, delete, or finish edit of the control.

Let's look at an example. In a new Outlook email, let's click the subject line.

There is a blank Outlook email and the annotation target is on the subject line.

From the panel, I will now click Lead Outreach Email Quick Action Custom button.

After placing the cursor on the subject line, you can now go to the Cephable panel and click "Lead Outreach Email" or whatever quick action button you want to click.

As soon as the button is clicked, from the subject line to the body, now the two types steps associated with this control are now executed. In the example, the insurance email outreach template is now part of the new email and it only took one click without having to write the entire thing out.

There are two arrows pointing to the subject line and the body content that match the mapping we had customized for the "Lead Outreach Email" Control.

You can also do other things like create new email. But the quick actions and all app controls are not limited to Microsoft Outlook on Windows. In fact, you can do this with any of the available app controls you have. And it will go across all of your favorite applications.
