RCoB | Creating and Sending a Bulletin using ClubRunner

Imagine a world where the club sends out just one email a week and EVERYTHING you need to know is in that email. It's possible. Here's how to make a bulletin and keep everyone in the know. This tutorial is available as a video or you can scroll it on a website screen and ask it to "Guide me" while you are in ClubRunner.

Click "Bulletin"

Click this button.

Click "Copy"

Click "Open"

Click into this field that says "Copy of BULLETIN etc"

Click in this "Name" text field to rename it.

Click this text field.

Click the "Email Subject" field. You definitely want to edit this to the correct date also.

Click this button field.

One of the ways you can change the way it looks is here via Themes. I'm not loving this yellow so I am going to change the entire look in one click.

Click "Coming up:"

Click "🫶"

First select the stories you don't want in this bulletin. This won't take them off the website so they continue to be a record of club activities etc. Some stories are still relevant so leave them in.

Click "Remove Selected"

Next click "Add Stories from the Story Library"

Click here.

Click "Done"

Click "Preview"

Click "Send"

Click "Add Smart List(s)"

Other than the obvious, it is important to click "Contacts by Tags" and include the Bulletin Subscribers. Be intentional about who you send the bulletin to. Every single person in our contact list does not need to be sent a bulletin every time.

Click here for those times you want to email all the presidents and secretaries in the district. And so on.

Click here.

Even if a recipient is in several of these lists, they will only receive one copy of the bulletin. When you are done click "Add"
