RISE | How to Create a Custom Course + Update Theme

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create a custom course and update the theme in RISE. 🚨 Use approved assets (fonts, pictures), colors + fonts

CREATE COURSE

Navigate to [https://rise.articulate.com/manage/folder/all](https://rise.articulate.com/manage/folder/all)

Click "Create New"

Click "Course"

Click "+Blank Course"

Click the "Course Title" field + enter title

Click the "Add a lesson title..." field + enter title for at least one lesson.

Click "ADD CONTENT"

Click "BLANK LESSON."

Only use lesson templates for general topics (not TRR-specific).

Click back button.

Click the "Add a lesson title..." field to add another lesson or quiz/knowledge check.

EDIT THEME

Click "THEME"

Click "CHANGE THEME"

Click "Apex" (pease use a variation of APEX)

Click "Save"

Click "CONFIRM"

Click "Cover Page"

Click "Left overlay"

Click "Edit"

Click "Replace Image" using any **relevant**[ TRR image](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZFIxQHUcKNvL0e5Cwbh6xQDrWUQy5C17).

Bookmark the [TRR Image folder](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZFIxQHUcKNvL0e5Cwbh6xQDrWUQy5C17) + download the entire folder to your desktop for easy uploading.

Click "UPLOAD LOGO" + upload black/white Academy logo.

Click back button.

Click "Lesson Headers"

Click to update color of header - select any option you like.

Click "Save"

Click "Colors"

Only use approved [TRR colors](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hiO8ESK9TrgpmpZ6rmAi-J_F-zPYx2demw9cCnHJkys/edit?usp=sharing) (Academy palette for core trainings)

Click "Custom"

Enter a TRR hex color ([Use Academy Hex colors](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hiO8ESK9TrgpmpZ6rmAi-J_F-zPYx2demw9cCnHJkys/edit?usp=sharing))

Click "DONE"

Click "Save"

Click "Fonts"

Click "MORE"

Click "Montserrat" for Headings and "Lato" for Body.

Click "Save"

Click back button.

Click "PREVIEW" + **confirm theme look accurate.**

IF you see an alert that "Jackie Guilbault" or another Rise user is editing your course - STOP and exit immediately.
