Register for CRA My Business Account Online for Corporate Tax (2025-07-18)

Use this process to gain online access to your company's information on the Canada Revenue Agency's My Business Account website.

You will need to have CRA online access for your personal tax account before using this guide. This guide provides a step-by-step process for adding your company to your existing CRA online account. You will need a laptop or desktop computer with internet access and your most recently filed corporate income tax return to help validate your identity using information from the return.

Navigate to <https://www.canada.ca/en/services/taxes/income-tax.html>and click the "CRA sign in" link.

Sign into your account using your preferred method, either using "Sign-In Partner" or "CRA user ID and password".

Once you reach the Welcome page, click the "Add account" button.

Click the "Business account" link.

Click "Add business number"

Enter the 9-digit business number for the company, then click "Submit".

There are several fields to enter on the following screen. Scroll down and enter all fields. Once all fields have been entered, click "Submit"

Select the "Corporation income tax (RC)" option.

Enter the Program account number (usually "0001").

Enter the period end date for the most recently filed corporate tax return.

Select the "T2 - Corporation income tax return" option.

Select one of the options from the drop down for the "Line from return" field. Look at the return and choose a line that has a value other then zero. In this example, "Schedule 100, line 2599 - Total assets" is selected.

Enter the value from the corresponding line from your company tax return, then click "Submit".

Click "Close" when you receive a message the the business has been added.
