Registering for Classes using Student Planning in Self-Service

This guide provides a step-by-step process for students to efficiently register for classes using the Student Planning tool.

Navigate to [https://spcc.edu/](https://spcc.edu/)

Click "Menu"

Click "Student Panel"

Click "Self Service"

Click "Student Planning"

Click "Go to My Progress"

Begin reviewing your Academic Progress. Begin reviewing your progress and major requirements. Example: Take 6 credits; From courses ENG-111 ENG-112. Both ENG 111 and ENG 112 are courses that need to be completed.

Notice that ENG 111 was completed in Fall of 2024 and ENG 112 still needs to be taken "Not Started".

Click "ENG-112" to review available sections of this course.

Filter your results by checking "2025FA " to view available offerings.

Click "View Available Sections for ENG-112"

You can review availability for a course by reviewing the seats available. In this example, there are 25 seats available out of 25. "25 / 1 / 26 / 0"

When you find an available section you would like to register for Click "Add Section to Schedule".

Click "Add Section". You will notice that "Requisites" will be listed for any requirements that are needed prior to registration. This is a generic pop up that will always come up. Please note that certain sections may be designated for certain student populations and not open to all students.

Click "Back to My Progress" to review more courses needed for your major.

Example "Complete 6 credits. Choose from the courses SPA-111, SPA-112, SPA-211, SPA-212."

You will notice that that SPA 111 is "Not Started".

Click "SPA-111" to view available options for registration.

Filter your results by checking "2025FA " to view available offerings.

Click "View Available Sections for SPA-111"

You can review availability for a course by reviewing the seats available. In this example, there are 23 seats available out of 24. "23 / 1 / 24 / 0"

When you find an available section you would like to register for Click "Add Section to Schedule".

Click "Academics"

Click "Register for Classes"

Click "Register Now"

Review schedule to make sure it states "Registered, but not started"

Click "Print" to review your class schedule.
