Registering From a Saved Schedule

Tip! For a video tutorial click here

From your Workday Profile, click "MENU"

From the Apps tab, click the "Academics" icon.

Click "More (2)" in the Planning & Registration card to expand the menu.

Click "View My Saved Schedules"

Verify that you are in the "Upcoming Saved Schedules" tab and that you are in the correct term. Also, scroll to the left and look at the alerts column. If you see a number, **click** on it to see any barriers that you may encounter when trying to register for specific classes. You will see the errors in a pop up report. In this example clicking the "1" under alerts, shows this student may not be able to register for ITSC 1316 because they are not eligible for that course. If this happens to you, keep moving forward in the registration for your other classes, and reach out to your Enrollment Coach.

To register, click the black "Register" button. If you have more than one saved schedule, make sure you click the button next to the correct schedule. In this example the student is registering for Spring of 2025.

Tip! For each course in the Saved Schedule, there is already a course section selected. To find it, scroll down to see the blue box with a white check. These were chosen when the schedule was created.

The left side of the screen lists the courses you have saved in this saved schedule. On the right side, you will see the sections that were selected when the schedule was saved. The course sections saved, are marked under the select column as a blue box with a white checkmark.

If you are ready to register for all of the classes that were saved, click the blue "**Register**" button. If there is a course you don't want to take, you must remove it from the Saved Schedule before registering it or you will get an error. See step 10.

You see the courses you registered for listed as "**Successful Registration**s".

Making Changes During Registration

Tip! Sometimes during registration, you may want or need to make changes to what you have saved. There are several reasons but they fall into mostly two categories: 1. there is a class you have scheduled you cannot or do not want to take 2. there is a class you want to take, but you need to make a change because the class is showing that it is closed, which usually means it is full.

Alert! Please be advised that if you create your own Saved Schedule or change a Saved Schedule your advisor created before or during registration, you will want to pay careful attention to location, times, dates, and whether the course you picked is a PBE course or not. **Once classes start there maybe financial/financial aid issues if you have to make a change due to registering yourself for the wrong class.**

To remove a course that was saved in your schedule, click the course from the left side of the screen. It should become dark grey. Then click the **minus icon, "-",** in the corner. This will remove the course. Be advised, removing a course that is paired with another, like a lab, will make you ineligible to register in it's paired class. You will need to remove both.

Sometimes, the course you saved may be closed. You will not be able to register for a closed section. How will you know? Look at the information on the right side of the page. Beneath the Description and Eligible fields of text you will see a table listing all the course sections available for the class. Look at the **section status column.** If you see "closed", then you will need to pick another class.

To deselect the closed section, uncheck the **blue box**.

To pick a new section, scroll through the list. Pay attention special attention to the column labeled "**Meeting Patterns"**. This will tell you the **CAMPUS**, **TIMES** and **DAYS** the course is offered.

Tip! The **Section** column contains crucial course information. \ \ For **PBE** program students, courses always include a “**P**” in the *last* group of letters and numbers. \ \ **Non-PBE** courses do not have a “P”, some will even have a “**G**” in them. *If you see other letters*, those indicate the courses are for specific groups of students. Consult your enrollment coach if you create or change a schedule and see other letters besides “P” or “G” before choosing those courses.

If you find an open section you can add to your schedule, click the white box in the "**Select**" column. The box will become blue with a white check mark. Continue with your registration following [Step 8](https://scribehow.com/shared/Registering_for_Courses_Using_a_Saved_Schedule__OwhNnZPbROWVLvWHlN5kvQ#3ee302e4).

Sometimes you will not be able to register for a course, because you are not eligible for some reason. You will know because when you are registering you will note that the "**Eligible**" box is not checked in the **Eligible** column. You will need to remove the eligible course by clicking the **minus icon "-"**, to continue your registration. Reach out to your Enrollment Coach to replace the course you deleted with something else or find out why you are ineligible and if there is an issue that needs to be resolved.

After removing any courses for which you are not eligible, you may continue your registration by clicking the blue "**Register**" button, and you are done.

You did it! Work with your Enrollment Coach to complete your financial aid, or with Student Accounting to work on your payment!
