Guest Instructions: Registering with a Boat Slip

This guide will walk you through the steps to register for waterfront with a boat slip. Learn how to navigate the registration process, make selections, and proceed to payment.

A few things to note: 1. You need a physical copy of your registration to complete the process to be approved for a permit number and to pay. 2. **You will be signing up as a camper/participant. Please move forward with the directs as follows, that is how our system is designed and we can not change that as of now.** 3. You will be waitlisted when you register for the session. Keep moving forward through the directions until you submit all the forms and upload your registration.

Once you've created a new account and participant (or logged into an existing account and selected a participant), you should see the options for Waterfront Registration. "Waterfront Registration | Without Slip" and then "Save/Next.

Click the "Enter # of Waterfront Registrant :" field. These instructions will assume you're just entering "1" for yourself but you do have the option to enter other household members if you want.

Click "Save/Next"

Click this dropdown box and select the proper registraint.

Click "Save/Next"

Find the Slip \[MANDATORY\] and Click "Make Selections"

Type 1 (or 2, if applicable) in the box(es) next to the size(s) of slip you need. The length of the slip must be equal to or greater than the length of the boat you will moor in it.

Once everything is complete, Click "Save/Next"

Find Quantity of Watercraft \[MANDATORY\] and Click "Make Selections"

Type in the quantity of watercraft you are registering. This total should include all watercraft you will be launching, not just the ones you need slips for.

Click "Save/Next"

Make sure everything looks correct. (ignore the minimum deposit, you will pay in full once we get to the finance section) Click "Save/Next"

This will take you all the way back out signifying that you are ready to move on to the next steps in your dashboard. Click "Save/Next"

The message blow will pop-up to tell you that you have been put on a waitlist. PLEASE MOVE FORWARD following the rest of the instructions to submit your watercraft for review.

Find the Watercraft Information form and Click "Open".

Fill out the watercraft information. Do this for all your watercraft you wish to register. When you get to the state registration numbers, please do NOT put any spaces when typing out. (Anything with a red asterisk you have to fill out.)

Click "Select ONE" drop down menu and select an option that best applies to your watercraft. ie: no slip, 16' slip, 20' slip, 24' slip, 30' slip. In this case you would put what slip length this watercraft was in.

Click "Save/Next" to continue to add watercraft and once you are done click "Save, Finish Later". Our staff will fill in your permit number and slip number once reviewed.

Click "Complete Registration"

Click "Forms"

Click "Upload Forms." You will need to upload an image of the state registration for each watercraft you listed on your Watercraft Information form. It would be helpful if you could upload them in the same order listed on the form. You can return to these steps later or on a different device if you're not prepared right now with pictures of your watercraft registration.

Click the dropdown box to insert a picture of your watercraft registration.

Click "Choose File".

Select the correct file for the watercraft and click "Upload". Remember, while you can return later to upload your registration certificates, you will need to supply valid certificates for each watercraft on your account before we can process your application.

Find the Watercraft Contract and click "Open".

Carefully read the text in red, and then type in the address (street number, street name, city) or the ILNC RV park lot number that shows you're eligible for seasonal access. If you are a non-ILNC homeowner, you must be listed as the owner or co-owner at that address in township records.

Sign your name in the grey box or type your name in the box below.

Click the accept button.

Click the "Print Name: \*" field. Type in you first and last name.

In the special requests box, renewing guests will be assigned to the same boat slip they had the previous year, but if you would like to change to a slip on the other side of the channel or walkway, please type your request in this box. New customers may also include any requests like north or south side of the channel, walkway on port or starboard, etc.

Click "Save/Next"

Our staff will review your registration certificates and contact you in the next day or two. You will need to pick up your sticker(s) and pay at the front office or call/email for us to mail the sticker(s) to you once you have completed your registration. Once you pick up your sticker(s) then we will activate your Swiftlane account.
