Requesting a Course Transfer

To begin your request to ***Change your Course***, on the left hand side of your screen select the '**My Study Changes**' tab as shown below.

Once the "*My Study Changes*" tab has loaded, you will see the screen shown below. Here you will locate all policies and explanations of what each study change is. \ To continue with your request to ***Change Courses***, select "**Submit change to study request**" as shown below.

Next, click the "**Request Type**" dropdown and select "**Change of Course**". \ Once you have selected "**Change of Course**", click the blue "**Continue**" button to move onto the next stage of your request.

**Before** you submit your **request to change course**, you **must** confirm that you have spoken with a member of staff from either ***Student Support or Student Success.*** To do this: 1. Select the first tick box "**I have sought advice**". 2. Select the second tick box to **confirm** that you have spoken with a staff member from **Student Support (Student Experience) or a Success Coach**. 3. Once you have completed this, infill the next field with the name(s) of the staff member(s) you have spoken to regarding your change request.

**Before** you submit your study **change request to change course**, you **must** also confirm that you have **spoken with a Academic from your chosen new course**. 1. You must **select the third tick box down**, and **confirm** that you have spoken with a member of Academic Faculty, this advises us that you are aware of the entry requirements of the programme and are aware of any career implications for the programme you would like to study. 2. Next **infill the field to confirm the member of Academic Faculty** that you have discussed your programme transfer with. 3. Once you have done this, you will be required to **select the fourth tick box**, to **confirm that you have read and understood the student transfer policy**. Once you have completed the above, select the blue "**Continue**" button to proceed with your request.

Next, you are required to inform us of the reason for your transfer request and what course you would like to transfer onto. 1. Select the first drop down '**Reason for change of course request**' and select the reasoning why you would like to change programmes, as shown below for example: *Change in Personal Circumstances.* 2. Secondly, you must confirm the course you would like to transfer onto . To select the programme you would like to transfer onto, select the drop down '**Change of course to**'. As shown in the example below, we selected *BL - BA (Hons) Healthcare Management (Full Time)*. **REMEMBER**: Full Time = BL (blended learning) / Part-Time = DL (distant learning)

You will then be required to inform us **when you would like the transfer** to happen, from this drop down you will be provided with 3 options : *As soon as possible / Next Semester or Trimester (next study block/period) / Next Academic Year*. To select your option, click the drop down named '**Change of course to take effect**' You can then **upload files** - please add any **supporting documents** that relate to your application. (this is not mandatory, but recommended if you have them!) In **Additional Comments**, we would like you to provide some more information about why you would like to change programmes. Once you have completed the above, select the blue 'Continue' button.

Now, you will be advised to select your **Study Location**. To do this, select the drop down to choose your chosen study location. - If you have selected a Part-Time course, you should only see the 'Distant Learning' option. (as all part-time courses are distance learning **only**) - If you have selected a Full Time course, you will see all study centres running your chosen new programme. *If you would **not** like to change study centres, make sure you select the centre you are currently studying at.* Once you have selected the correct centre, select the blue '**Next**' Button to continue.

Now, you will be **required to review all of the information** that you have entered. Check each individual answer. If all is correct: 1. **Select the tick box** shown below "**I confirm that these details are correct**" 2. Next, click the blue '**Continue'** button to proceed with your request. If you would like to make changes : - Select the white '**Back**' button to return to your request details to make any changes.

Once you have completed your request, a confirmation of request screen will load. Click the blue '**Exit**' button to return to landing page.

Once you have submitted your request, you will also receive an email to your **student email address** to confirm that your request has been submitted. You will also receive a second email once your application has been reviewed, to let you know the outcome. If you have any questions or queries, please contact your relevant support team.
