Navigate to the [SAP Analytics Cloud](https://trustees-of-boston-ma.us10.hcs.cloud.sap/) catalog.

Open the **Designated/Restricted Balance & Activity - GL/CI Detail** report.

This report runs by the period and fiscal year (not calendar dates ). The number format is PPP/YYYY. For example, December 2024 is "006/2025".

Enter the account number in the *Funded Program* field. Discretionary accounts always start with a "9". \ \ If you are trying to run a report to view a base account (beginning with a "1"), you will need to run the **Unrestricted Budget to Actual - GL/CI Detail** report.

Click "Set"

The report will run the default view.

The "Dimensions / Measures" button will open a panel where you can customize the columns in the report.

Here, you can remove columns you don't need or add in additional dimensions or measures from the "Available Items" section on the left.

You can also view transactions posted to the account by GL by following the steps below. If you want to view all the transactions on the account at once, run a [Transaction Detail](https://scribehow.com/shared/SAP_Analytics_Cloud__Running_a_Transaction_Detail_Report__piQ9wp-dRp2gpEKGpecpsw) report.

Select the GL that you'd like to view the transactions posted to.

Right-click on the value. Under "Jump To", you can view the actuals and commitments.

If you want to export the report to an Excel sheet, follow the steps below.

Click anywhere in the table.

Click on the bubble that appears in the top right corner.

Click "Export"

Select XLSX in the "File Type" dropdown.

The **FY 20XX Beginning Balance** column shows the amount rolled over from the previous fiscal year.

The **FY 20XX Revenue** column shows the revenue deposited to the account.

The **FY 20XX Expenses** column shows the *actual* expenses posted to the account.

The **FY 20XX Ending Balance** column shows the rollover plus the revenues less expenses. *(Mathematically, this is the sum of **Balance + Revenue + Expenses**.)*

The **FY 20XX Commitments** column shows revenues and expenses not yet actualized.

The **FY 20XX Net w/ Commitments** column shows the **Ending Balance** with the **Commitments.**
