You will need to upload the zip file during the process explained below.

From the start page:

Click "System Management"

Click "Server"

Click "Plugin Configuration"

Click "Install"

Click the "Choose File" button and select the SCDE Chronic Absentee zip file. Note: do not unzip the file before this step.

Click "Install"

Scroll down and locate the "SCDE Chronic Absentee" plugin. Click this checkbox on the right to 'enable' the plugin.

Click "Enable"

Click "Data and Reporting"

Click "Exports"

Click "Data Export Manager"

Select the "Additional Data Sets" option.

Scroll down the dropdown list, find and click on "SCDE Chronic Absenteeism".

Click the first checkbox in the list beside "STUDENTS". This will add all the columns to the export list.

Remove the portion of the label, "Students.##\_" used on the export column under from each row where the ## represents a number from 01-30

Here is an example of the removing of each "Students.##\_" from each label.

Continue to remove the "Students.##\_" for all labels shown.

Click "Next"

Click "Next" again.

Click on "Export File Name" textbox.

For the file name enter the following: ChronicAbsenteeismDistrict\_####24-25.csv \ (where #### represents your district number).

This line should read as: ChronicAbsenteeismDistrict\_####24-25.csv

Select the "Comma" option for the Field Delimiter dropdown.

Click "Save Template"

Click the "Name" field.

Type in "SCDE Chronic Absenteeism"

Click "Save as New"

Click "Export"

Save the file to your computer, then upload into ADT in the Attendance Coordinator folder for your district.

Alert! You will need to resubmit this file per the data processing timeframe outlined by Mrs. Aveene Coleman. Data files will be processed once a week until May 2025. From May 5, 2025 through June 16, 2025 data will be processed twice a week. All data must be submitted by 10:00 am for processing. See the data processing chart below:

To run the extract again, follow these steps:

From the PowerSchool start page:

Click "Data and Reporting"

Click "Exports"

Click "Data Export Manager"

Click "My Templates"

Scroll down the list to find "SCDE Chronic Absentee".

Click "SCDE Chronic Absenteeism"

Click "Next"

Click "Export"

Upload the file to ADT in the Attendance Coordinator folder. All data must be submitted by 10:00 for processing.
