In this tutorial you will see how to enable your preferred SMS option, how to view remaining credits, how to purchase more and turn on auto topup.

How to Find the SMS Settings

Go to Settings > Notifications & Messages

Now open 'SMS Settings'.

SMS Options

Right at the top of this page you will be able to set your SMS method using the dropdown menu. Your options include: - ***Enable Squeegee One-way SMS*** - If your personal number is entered into the 'From Number or Name' field, any messages sent to customers will be sent from that number. Customers will therefore be able to reply to you - these replies will be delivered directly to your handset. If your business name is entered into that field, any messages sent to customers will appear with that name. Customers will therefore not be able to reply to you. - ***Enable Squeegee SMS Two-Way*** - Messages will be sent from a random, unfixed number pulled from our number pool. Customers will be able to reply with the replies being sent directly to the app. - ***Enable Squeegee Two-Way SMS With Private Number*** - The same as above but users can pay £10 for a private, fixed number. With this option, it is possible to add a call redirect number. Inbound messages to your private SMS number are charged at 1 credit per message. Calls forwarded to you from your private SMS number are also charged at 1 credit per minute (call forwarding is optional).

How the credits relate to the messages being sent?

When creating a message template, it will show you an approximation of how many credits that message will use - this is only approximate because if tokens are used, it could pull through a long list of services, for example, which will increase the credit cost due to the length of the message.

More Details for Two-Way with Private Number

As mentioned in step 3, when you choose Two-Way SMS with Private Number, you will be offered a list of numbers that are available and you can choose which one you would like (if there isn't one that suits you, you can come out of the page and click back into it to refresh the list).

For reservation of a private number, the card on file will need to be charged a one off fee of £10.

When choosing the two-way with private number option, you will also be able to add a call redirect number of your choosing in the field as shown below.

If you ever decide you no longer want to use the two-way with private number, you will need to follow to process below. Please note that you will not be able to retrieve the same number in the future.

Remaining Credits

This is also where you can see how many remaining credits you have on your account.

How to Purchase More?

You can purchase more credits from this page, either by selecting one of the predefined amounts or setting a custom amount.

Auto Topup

You will also be able to enable auto topup from here. This essentially means that when the credits drop below a specified amount, they will topup with more.

Once enabled, you will need to select a trigger for the credits to topup if they drop below this specified amount.

Then select how much you would like them to be topped up by (this will be charged to the card on file each time it is used).

Once you have finished, click 'Done'.
