Schedule an Academic Advising Appointment

Navigate to <https://gvsu.campus.eab.com/home/student#/?tab-state=class_information> and log in with your GVSU credentials.

Click "Schedule an Appointment" in the top right of your screen.

This will take you to the scheduling page. Click the first drop down and select "Academic Advising". (If you are wanting to make a tutoring appointment or a Student Academic Success Center appointment, this is where you could select those offices as well!)

Under "Service" you will select the major you would like to discuss.

For traditional students pursuing their first degree, you will select "Nursing". \ \ Nursing-RN is for students who already have a completed nursing license and "Graduate" is for students who are in the Masters or Doctoral nursing programs.

Click "Find Available Time". You do not need to change the date. The system will pull up the next available appointment times.

This will be the view you get initially. You are able to see all appointments available for all advisors who meet with Nursing majors. If you are looking for the first available appointment and do not prefer a specific advisor, you can select from this list.

If you would like to meet with a specific advisor, you can select this on the left side of the screen under "Staff". This will filter out any other advisors.

You can also filter by location. Nursing advisors have appointments on the Health Campus downtown in DCIH 415, Allendale in AuSable Hall, or virtually via zoom. If you toggle this on, please note that availability may be limited, especially for Allendale appointments.

For this search, you are seeing only one advisor's available appointments for meeting via Zoom. When you are satisfied with an appointment time and modality (online/in person), you can click that bubble to select the spot.

You will be taken to the confirmation page to provide more information.

Review your notification settings and provide a note for your advisor to know what you plan to discuss. This helps us prepare for your appointment and ensure that we have all we need to best assist you.

When you are done providing your comment, remember to hit "Schedule" and confirm your appointment. This will send you and your advisor a confirmation email with the information you will need to prepare for the appointment. \ \ If you cannot make it to your appointment or no longer need to meet, please connect with the advisor or cancel the appointment through Navigate at least 24 hours in advance. This allows other students to fill that time spot!
