File Extraction
The Certificate Creator comes as a zip folder. Both Macs and PCs can extract archive files without the need for additional software. Use whatever solution you want to extract the files from the zip. This tutorial uses a Mac, but a PC can easily extract files from an zip file.
1
Navigate to wherever you downloaded "certificate-creator.zip" file. Right Click "certificate-creator.zip".
2
For Mac select "Archive Utility" from "Open With" menu to unzip. For PC you would select "Extract All" from the menu.
Creator Tool Launch
3
Open "Certificate Creator" folder.
4
Open "Certificate Creator.html" in web browser
Template Configuration
5
Click on "Choose File". This is where you will add the template created by Creative Services. If you don't have a certificate template please reach out to Creative Services to request one.
6
Navigate using your OS Finder feature to find where you saved the template file created by Creative Services. Click on that file. In this guide we are using a test template file.
7
Once it is selected, Click "Open".
8
Type names in "Name List" field. One name per line, means after writing a name hit enter to move to the next line and enter the next name.
9
After entering each name, press return/enter to move to the next line. You can also copy and paste your list of names into this field, just make sure each name is on a new line.
You can enter names manually OR copy and paste them into the "Name List" field. However, the list you copy and paste **must** have each name on a new line.
10
"Font Size" field can be used to adjust the size of the name to help fit longer names on the certificate.
11
The "Color" field can be used to adjust the color of the name on the certificate.
12
Clicking on the "Color" field opens up the color palette menu where you can select a color.
13
"Vertical (Top)" field can be used to align the name on the certificate vertically (top and bottom).
Document Export
You can choose to export your certificates as either a single PDF file or a zip file with individual JPG files. Either will work for printing.
14
Click "Export 10x8.5in PDF" to export a single PDF file with all of your listed certificates.
15
OR you may choose to click "Export JPGs (ZIP)" to create a zip file with individual JPG files for each certificate that can also be sent to the printer.
After exporting your files you will submit them to Print Services to be printed.
