Set up Outlook Calendar Settings
Some key calendar settings for Outlook to help your day run smoothly.

Open Calendar Settings

Click "File"

Click "Options"

Click "Calendar"
Set your working hours

Select your start and end times for each work day. Your calendar will show as unavailable for times outside of those windows (though you can still receive meeting invites).
Set your work days

Change your default work week if you work an alternate shift.
Invite Reminders

Select your default meeting reminder interval. You will be able to snooze reminders in 5-minute increments.
Change calendar visibility

Click "Free/Busy Options..."

Toggle setting to control what others can see on your calendar. The default is "can view when I'm busy" which only shows meeting blocks. Click "Can view titles and locations" to allow others to see the meeting titles and location for meetings on your calendar.

Click "Apply"

Click "OK"
Change your time zone

Click "Close" Click "Open"

When you're done updating settings click "OK".
