Changing Your Direct Deposit in Workday

Learn how to efficiently add a new bank account and configure your payment elections within the Workday portal. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for managing your deposit details to ensure your payroll or expense payment is directed to the correct account.

Workday

Navigate to your Workday Homepage by logging in at<https://www.myworkday.com/sjsurf/>

Click your profile icon to view your profile options.

Click "View Profile"

Click "Pay" tab to view your payment options.

Click "Payment Elections" to view your current direct deposit information.

You will see a display of your current account and the available categories for payment. Click "Add" to add a new account. Edit can be used to change the name of an account. Remove can be used to remove an account that has been closed. Edit in the Payment Election 2nd sub section is used to change the accounts being used for specific payment elections, payroll payments or expense payments.

Complete the required information indicated by the red asterisk and follow the guide image to locate the routing and account information on a voided check sample.

Click the "Account Number" field.

Click the "Bank Name" field.

Click the "Account Nickname (optional)" field.

Click "OK" to submit the new account.

To add the new account you added "Chase Bank" to the Expense payment payment type, select the edit button.

Click on the "X" to remove the old account currently receiving deposits to include the new accounts nick name or bank name.

Click this icon.

Click your new account or the name you provided at the account creation step.

Click "OK"

To add the new account you added "Chase Bank" to the Payroll payment type, select the edit button.

Click on the "X" to remove the old account currently receiving deposits to include the new accounts nick name or bank name.

Click your new account or the name you provided at the account creation step.

For payroll payments, you can select the balance (net deposit), and amount or percentage for each account. If you are utilizing more than one account, to ensure that all accounts receive a deposit, amounts and percentage rows should be placed above the balance row.

To indicate an amount, select the amount field and enter the amount you would like deposited each pay check.

To add more than 1 account, select the "+" symbol, NOTE:If you are utilizing more than one account, to ensure that all accounts receive a deposit, amounts and percentage rows should be placed above the balance row.

On the second account row, select the second account to receive a deposit.

Click "My Lucky Account"

Click "Balance" to make this bottom row second account receive the remaining balance of your paycheck.

Click "OK"
