Setting a Delegate for Requisition Approval

Tip! In DASH, the department approver is the cost center manager. In some cases, the cost center manager may want to delegate requisition approvals to someone else in their department (like a business manager). These steps walk you through how to delegate by task. By choosing to delegate by task, you are not delegating everything you approver to another person, just the tasks you select will be delegated.

Navigate to DASH

Click on the notifications icon (bell)

Within notifications, click "Show All"

Click "Worklist"

Click on the arrow next to your name

From the dropdown menu, click "Preferences"

Click "My Rules"

Click the plus sign to add a rule

Name your rule. In this case, I am naming my rule "ReqApproval"

Tip! Leave the start and end dates blank unless you just want to delegate this task for a specific period of time.

Click on the magnifying glass to search the tasks

Type in ReqApproval

Click "Search"

Click here on the task you want to add

Click "OK"

Click "delegate to"

Click the magnifying glass to search by name

Enter the name

Click "Search"

Click the "Select" field.

Click "OK"

Click "Save"

Tip! The following steps show how to remove a rule.

Highlight the rule you want to remove

Click the X

Click "Yes"
