Setting up Tags and Categories

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up your organisation's important information on The PE Hub LMS platform. This includes creating Pupil Tags and Class/Group Categories.

Tip! We'd like to suggest adding tags and categories as your first action before adding pupils and classes. Tags can then be assigned in the bulk upload of your pupils.

Tags

Tags are used to help group pupils in your organisation. Some have already been created for you, such as Pupil Premium.

From "Settings" on the bottom left of your screen, Click "Organisation"

To create a tag, click the “**+ New”**. Then, write the name of the tag you wish to add, change the colour of the tag if desired, and click save. It will then show in the tags box. An acronym will be automatically generated.

Here we have added "Medical Condition" as an example tag

Click "Save"

You will now see the new tag created in the tags overview. You can edit or delete this at any time via the pencil icon.

Categories

Categories are **descriptions** of the types of classes/groups in your organisation. Examples of categories of class/group include **a teaching class, a year group or an after-school club**. You can have as many as you want!

To create a category, click “**+New “,** then, write the name of the category you wish to add and change the colour if desired.

In this example, we have created a class category called Booster Group, which is assigned the colour purple. Click "Save"

You will now see the new class/group category in the list. You can edit or delete the category at any time via the pencil icon.
