Navigating to Smart Search

When you're on MyVeritext main page, go to **My Content.**

We're focusing on **ASK TESS | Smart Search**

*"Tess is your Veritext AI agent that helps you streamline and simplify legal tasks. Ask Tess to "Smart Search" your evidence for fast discovery on up to 3 total transcripts."*
Performing a Smart Search

Click into *"I'd like to..."* Select *"Perform Smart Search"* to prompt TESS. Enter *"What would you like to discover?"* Type in whatever question you have. Once you're ready to Smart Search, select *"Begin Discovery"*

For now, Smart Search searches within **transcripts only.**

You will be sent to the next page to await the response. The transcripts selected will be shown on the right.
Hyperlinks

You can review and select any **hyperlink** to be taken directly to those **page and line numbers** in the transcript.

The referenced lines will be highlighted in the transcript.

You can continue asking questions until you are satisfied with the results.
Don't forget! You can copy individual responses from each question.

When you are satisfied with your Smart Search for this session, select *"Back To File Results."* *"Your Smart Search examination history will not be saved upon leaving the session window."*

For security and privacy reasons, once you select *Leave*, **all your history will be lost**. Be sure you are completely done with this Smart Search session.
