Navigate to [MyBGSU](https://my.bgsu.edu).

Click "Manager Dashboard (On Campus/VPN Only)" in the left navigation menu.

Under "Quick Links," click "Student E-Hire."

Click "Find an Existing Value."

Enter the student's ID number in the "Empl ID" field and click the "Search" button. You can also check multiple students in your department by entering your six-digit department code in the "Department" field and clicking the "Search" button.

Find the applicable row by looking at the "Department" and "First Start Date" columns. Note the "E-Hire Status" column: - Hired - the E-Hire has been approved, and the student is authorized to begin working. - Pending - the E-Hire has not been approved, and the student is not authorized to begin working. - New - when completing the E-Hire, the submitter clicked "Save" but did not click "Send to SES for Approval."
