Student View: Turnitin Submission in Moodle

Click on a Turnitin Assignment.

The Turnitin assignment will open in a new window. If it is your first time accessing Turnitin, you may be asked to read and agree to the Turnitin User Agreement.

Expand the assignment title to see assignment details i.e. due dates.

If there is a rubric provided by your instructor, access the grading criteria by clicking on the rubric in the assignment details.

To add a submission (your assignment), click "upload submission"

Depending on instructor settings, there may be several options for submission upload, text input, or cloud submission.

If you have issues with a cloud upload i.e. from Google Drive, download the file to your computer and then click "Choose File" to upload your assignment.

Once a file is selected, the title will update based on the file name. Although the title can be changed if you want. **TIP:** If the instructor is allowing anonymous peer reviews, do not include your name in the Submission Title. To upload your chosen document click "upload and review".

In the review section students can see their submission and click through to ensure it is the right file. They can also click preview submission to check further. When it's ready to be submitted click "Submit to Turnitin"

Once you have submitted to the assignment you will receive a completion message at the top of the window. If needed, you can also download a digital receipt.
