Students: Turnitin PeerMark Submitting a Review and Accessing Peer Comments on Your Assignment

Students should begin this process after submitting their original essay AND between the review period dates. Instructors will set a review start date - "Students can review from" and "Students can review until." Instructors should communicate the review period dates with students. When the review period is open, select the assignment.

Click "PeerMark Reviews"

Find your assigned reviews. If anonymous, you will not see the author's name. NOTE: Some instructors set up an assignment so that the student name will be revealed after the review is done. If anonymity is important to you, check with your instructor.

You may also be assigned a "Self-review"

The assignment you are reviewing will open in a pop up window. Review (1) available tools, (2) potential questions you are assigned to answer about the peer's work and (3) your progress on completing those questions.

Opening the "Tools" menu will provide you with quick marks that you can drag onto your peers' assignment.

You can also highlight text to provide an in-text comment

In the right sidebar, click the "COMMENTS" tab to review all your comments (or peers' comments on your own assignment) in one view.

In the right sidebar, click the "QUESTIONS" tab to review questions you are assigned to complete for this PeerMark assignment.

Complete all questions to earn 100% Completed. NOTE: Some questions have a word minimum.

Click "Submit" when you have finished commenting, adding in-text marks, and answering all questions.

Click "Return to assignment inbox" to go back to your Moodle course.

Click "PeerMark Reviews" to find and complete additional assigned reviews.

Your instructor will set a date when peer feedback will be available. At that time, return to the assignment in Moodle. Click PeerMark Reviews.

Click "Received Feedback"

Your assignment will open and you can scroll to find in-text comments from the peer who reviewed your paper.

Click "COMMENTS" in the right sidebar to see all in-text comments in one view.

Click "QUESTIONS" to see the responses to the questions set up for the review assignment.
