Submitting Grant Request for Professional Development Fund

Campuslabs

Navigate to and sign into LeopardSpot:<https://wit.campuslabs.com/engage/> Click on the Settings in the Upper Right Hand Corner.

Navigate to My Submissions.

Click on the tab labeled "BUDGETING"

Click on the blue button labeled "CREATE REQUEST"

Click on the link "Heinstadt Professional Development Fund"

Fill out the "Request Title" field with the name of your professional development event or program.

Fill out the "Description" field with a brief description of your event. You will submit additional information on the following pages.

Click "NEXT"

Fill out the First and Last Name of the Grant Applicant.

Fill out your WIT ID Number

Fill out your WIT email address

Fill out the name of the professional development conference or event you are attending.

Include the name of any sponsoring organization.

Click "SAVE AND NEXT"

If more than one student is applying for this grant, include their names and WIT ID Numbers.

Click the field(s) that best represent your event you wish to attend.

Describe how this event will impact your professional growth and development as a student. Are you presenting research? Networking? Attending as a general attendee?

Are you presenting at the conference? Has your submission been accepted?

Include the dates of the event. It should be at least one month prior to the submission.

Include the location of the event, including the city/state/country

Include the amount requested in whole dollars.

Click "SAVE AND NEXT"

On the next screen, navigate to the Conference/Event Travel Expenses

Click "ADD ITEM"

Click on the Pull Down Menu

Click this dropdown.

List flight/train/car expenses - one per line

Click the "Description" field. Include information on flight numbers or train schedules

Include the total cost for this item in whole dollars. You can upload screenshots or PDFs to support this entry.

Click "SAVE"

If you have additional travel expenses, you can add additional items. For instance, if you are traveling with a co-op student working out of state, you can include flight information of their travel from their work site to the conference/event.

To add hotel information, click on "ADD ITEM"

Click the Pull Down Menu and Select "LODGING EXPENSES"

Include the name of the hotel, if known, or hotel costs if availability is unknown

In the Description, include hotel information, such as number of nights, the average cost for the hotel per night, and how many people will stay in each room. For 3 or more participants, all rooms will be shared by at least 2 people to reduce costs. Include any taxes or fees listed on the website.

Include the total cost for all the rooms, or you can indicate the price per room and increase the Quantity for an overall cost for all rooms.

Click "SAVE"

Navigate to Registration Expenses and click on "ADD ITEM"

Include any registration costs for attending the event

Include any relevant information for registration, such as early bird deadlines or membership requirements

Include the overall costs for registration or the per person costs by increasing the quantity to the number of students attending. You can upload screenshots or PDFs to support this entry.

Click "SAVE"

Navigate to Conference/Event Travel Income and click "ADD ITEM"

Click the pull down menu and include any income or support you are receiving or out-of-pocket expenses you are covering.

Click "New Line Item"

Click the "Name" field.

Complete the "Description" field with details about the type of support received

Complete the "Income Amount" field with support from the University or the Sponsoring Organization

Click "SAVE"

Click "ADD ITEM" to include any out-of-pocket expenses to be covered

Click the pull down menu and select "Out of Pocket Contributions"

Describe your out of pocket contributions, like "Ubers/Lyfts"

Describe the contributions, if necessary, such as number meals covered out of pocket.

Click the "Income Amount" field.

Click "SAVE"

Once you have completed the application, click "SUBMIT". It wil be routed to the committee for review.
