Navigate to [https://tk01-chem.umd.edu/webapps/WebTA/dashboard](https://tk01-chem.umd.edu/webapps/WebTA/dashboard)

Click "Start"

Once you are logged into the system, your name, UID, email, phone number on file and department will automatically be populated.

Click "CHEM/BCHM Graduate Student"

A sidebar will pop-up. Select the "CHEM" option if you are in the Chemistry program or "BCHM" if you are in the Biochemistry program.

Select the "Fall 2025" option

Select the "Not applicable / not listed" option for the Faculty Adviser.

Select the "Full TA (2 lab sections)" option.

Click the "No" field.

Select the courses that you have had teaching experience in. If you have not had any experience, choose "None (Not Applicable)".

Select the classes that you'd prefer to teach. You can visit [www.testudo.umd.edu](https://www.testudo.umd.edu) > Schedule of Classes and enter the course code to see more information about the class.

Click "Save Changes"

Click "Availability for Labs"

Based on your class schedule, choose the timeslots that you'd be available to be a lab teaching assistant. Please note: if you haven't signed up for classes yet, then you can select one or two possible times and then update your availability later.

Click "Save Changes" once you've added all of your availability.

Click Availability for Exams/Grading.

Based on your class schedule, choose the timeslots that you'd be available to proctor and grad exams. Please note: if you haven't signed up for classes yet, then you can select one or two possible times and then update your availability later.

Click "Save Changes" once you've added all of your availability.

For the Safety Information Section, you will be asked if you have completed each training. Remember to complete required training and upload your training completion documentation in this section before the application process closes.

You will select that you either have or have not completed the trainings.
