Selecting Commodity Codes
**NIGP Commodity Codes** are standardized classification codes used by government agencies to categorize products and services. By selecting the codes that match your business offerings, you'll be aligned with relevant procurement opportunities that fit your specific products or services. This ensures you receive notifications for bids that are the right fit for your company and helps streamline your sourcing process.
14
Select "NIGP" under Code Set.
15
Type and add keywords for your businesses offered products and services. Based on your keywords, select the NIGP descriptions that best match your businesses offered products and services. In this example, we are selecting codes for a lawn care business.
16
Confirm your choices by clicking "My Selections." Uncheck any options you don't want. Select "Go to Dashboard" when you are done.
17
Review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you approve the policy and terms, check the box next to "I accept the Privacy Policy and Vendor and Submission Portal Terms of Service." Click "Save and continue to Step 3: Optional Commodity Codes."
