Switch Camera Input

This guide provides essential instructions for switching camera inputs in the Cephable app, ensuring users can easily customize their video settings for optimal performance. By following the steps, users can select their preferred camera. The guide also highlights that the app retains these settings until restarted, offering convenience and flexibility.

Turn on Camera by clicking on the Camera Toggle.

There is a dropdown at the bottom of the section that allows you to switch your camera input.

The camera section has a media stream of an Indian Woman smiling at a front facing camera. There are buttons below her for pausing the camera, switching to the next camera, resetting baseline, and going to the camera settings. At the bottom, there is a dropdown available for a user to change their camera.

The first option, the default, is the camera device that is the same as your system settings.

The user has 2 available camera devices. The first one is the same as the default system settings. In this case, the user's external camera is their default camera. The second available camera is their build in laptop camera.

You can select a different camera input through the dropdown. In the image below, the user has changed to their FaceTime HD Camera, hence the switch in angle.

The user has selected their built in laptop camera to use instead. The media stream shows a different angle of the woman.

Cephable will respect the input camera selection for the duration of the app. It will only reset when you restart the app or login.

Turning off the camera button closes the media stream.

Notice that the camera preferences were respected.
