Switch Microphone Input

This guide provides essential instructions for switching microphone inputs in the Cephable Panel, allowing users to enhance audio quality by selecting the most suitable microphone for their environment. By following the steps, users can easily customize their settings for improved accuracy, especially in noisy settings.

You can now switch your microphone input in the Cephable Panel. Turn on the microphone toggle.

There is a dropdown in the panel that allows users to select their microphone input. By default, Cephable uses the same microphone as the system default. Click the dropdown to select a different microphone input device.

Focus is on the dropdown at the bottom of the microphone section. The default and first option is the same as the system default microphone input device.

Select a different preferred microphone input device from this dropdown.

Focus is on the second microphone input device.

The microphone input has changed to a different one than the system default. These settings will be respected for the duration of the app. It will only reset on app restart or relogin.

The microphone input has been changed and the microphone voice controls continue to work as expected.

Click the Microphone Toggle to turn off the microphone. Being able to switch the microphone device is important for getting higher accuracy in noisier environments.

Turn the microphone off by turning off the toggle.
