The PE Hub lesson plans

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to navigate the PE Hub lesson plans. It explains how to find specific lessons based on year group and activity, view unit overviews, access lesson content and resources, switch between lessons, and print lesson plans. It also provides guidance on searching for lesson plans using different methods and filters.

There are quick filters to find units by year group. Let's choose "Year 5".

After accessing the year group page, choose the desired activity. For instance, select gymnastics.

After you access the unit overview page, you will be able to view all important information about the unit, including quick links to the lessons. Additionally, you can see a brief summary of what each lesson covers. To start a lesson, simply click on the "Start" button next to it.

If you scroll to the bottom of the overview page, you can find all the linked resources for that unit.

You can also quickly navigate to all lessons from the unit overview via the "jump to lesson" drop-down menu in the top right corner.

At the top of the lesson, you'll see all the key information; this is consistently displayed across all lessons on The PE Hub.

Scroll down to view all the content and activities in the lesson.

At the foot of the lesson, you will see any resources to support your teaching, such as printouts, videos or music.

You can quickly and easily switch between lessons- via the drop-down in the top right hand corner of the lesson.

You can print any unit overview or lesson plan via the print page button in the top right-hand corner.

Searching for lesson plans

There are several methods for searching for lesson plans. 1. Scroll down the main lesson plans page and see what's on offer 2. Type an activity into the search bar 3. Click on a quick filter in the header bar to take you to all plans in that category 4. Select all filters

Lets look at "All Filters"

Here you can search via and activity are such as "Send & Return"

Click "Done" when you've chose your search

You will then see all the results for that search. The "All filters" tab will stay dark to show you have a filter applied.
