Time Tracking on Squeegee

In this tutorial you will see how to enable time tracking, add predefined pause reasons, how it works on a job, how to add a manual time records and edit these, and see the Advanced Time Tracking report area.

Setting It Up

Start by going to Settings > Jobs & Scheduling.

You can then enable 'Track Time on Jobs' - this means that a timer will show on jobs by default so that you can see how long users are spending on each job.

You can also enable 'Timer Pause Reasons' so that users need to select/enter a reason for pausing the job timer.

You can enter some 'Predefined Timer Pause Reasons' to support this as well.\ Once you have entered these (making sure each new reason is on a separate line), click 'Save'.

You also have the option to block workers and/or planners from accessing the manage timer dialog which can be enabled by toggling on the setting below. This means that workers will be able to record their start and end times using Time Tracking, but they won't be able to edit their entries.

Using the Timers

For this example, I will use the Work Planner' to show the timers in use.

Click into a job, and click 'play' on the timer.

You will then see the pink bar at the top of the screen to alert you to an 'Active Timer' on your account. If a user pauses this timer, and you have setup the predefined pause reasons as mentioned at the start of this tutorial, it will pop up with these reasons for them to select.

Once you have finished the job, you can mark it as 'Done' and the timer will stop automatically to record the time taken.

Creating a Timer Entry

If the user forgot to click play on the timer, or for any other reason the timer wasn't started, then they can enter a manual time entry by marking the job as 'Done' > it will then popup with a time sheet record to fill in.

To record a time sheet entry, click the pink three dots > 'Add Time Entry'.

You can then adjust the time and assignee as needed and click 'Add Time Entry' when you have finished.

If the time entry clashes with another time entry, it will not be recorded and it will need to be adjusted so it doesn't clash with another job.

If needed you can 'Edit' or 'Delete' the time entry.

Advanced Time Tracking Reports

Click into 'Time Tracking'.

You will then be able to see an overview of your users time and how much time has been recorded/unrecorded across the week.

# You can hover over the bar chart to see the breakdown of unrecorded vs recorded time.

You can also use the settings cog to filter/adjust the view of the page.
