Register for a New Permit

Navigate to [https://parkingbase.com/c/rutgers/login](https://parkingbase.com/c/rutgers/login)

Click "VISITORS"

Click the Envelope to enter your University Health email address

Enter your email (NOTE: it must end in @uhnj.org and must be an active and valid email to be assigned a UH Parking Permit)\ \ Click continue.

Check your email. You'll receive a 6 digit code. This is a unique code to log into the system.

Enter your unique code. If the code is valid, the system will automatically log you into the next step to request your permit.

Select your preferred Permit Start Date. This is useful if your hire date is in the future, you can select a date in the future. Otherwise, you can leave the default date or choose 'today' from the calendar object.

Once you've chosen a date, click Search. The system will search for permit availability for your Employee type, and will return results.

University Hospital Faculty and Staff will be presented with a $0.00 permit. Your permit itself will be deducted from your payroll, and this registration process is primarily to capture your license plate and acceptance of the Parking Terms and Agreement. \ \ **Note**: Notice the map in the area. If you zoom it, it will show you the locations, days, and times that your permit authorizes you to park in.

Click Book to continue the permit purchase process.

Confirm your contact information is correct. Enter any missing information. Your email address should not be changed as it is linked to your Rutgers ID, and will be required to continue to manage your permit.

Verify your Billing Address information. Click Change Address if the information is not up to date, or enter a new address if this section is blank.

Click Next

Enter your vehicle information. If a Vehicle is already present, be sure the information is accurate. You may edit the vehicle at this step.

Click Next to continue.

If you require ADA parking, please upload your ADA documentation at this step. You may browse to a file on your computer, or if using a mobile device to complete this registration, you may take a picture of your documentation.\ \ If you do not require ADA, you may skip this step.

Click Next to continue.

For UH, the permit rate will be $0.00, thus no payment information is required at this step.

Click Next.

This section of the permit registration process is a simple review page, where you can review your contact information, vehicle information, payment method, and optional uploaded documents. If any information is inaccurate, you may click on any of the checked circles to return to that step.

Click Sign to continue.

Click "Click here for leaseholder terms & conditions" to bring up a Pop Up box containing Terms & Conditions related to your parking permit.

Scroll through and read the "Permit Terms & Conditions".

Once you reach the bottom of the Terms and Conditions, click Accept.

The checkbox should be populated. If not, you may click it now.

Click into the signature box, and sign with your mouse (or finger if on mobile device).

Click Book once you have signed your name.

This finalizes your permit purchase. You will be directed right into your account, where your permit will be in Active status, as shown below.
