Update a Member's Category or Division

Use the Attributes & Records section on a member's Membership Details page to process a category upgrade — this article covers finding the profile, updating the category, and re-issuing the membership.

As a sports governing organization, once you have reviewed and approved a requested change to a member profile, visit their **Membership Details** page to update the profile, send updated documents to the individual, and disclose admin notes for future reference.

Sport governing organizations can navigate to an individual's Membership Details page a few different ways. You can use the Quick Search menu, your Membership menu for this year's membership, or the Events menu if you are also collecting requests via your Uplifter portal. Note: The system organizes users and registration by the following hierarchy: **Users → User Profiles → Memberships & Registrations.** A **User** is tied to an individual's login email. Each User can have multiple **User Profiles** — one for themselves, plus any family members or teammates linked to their account. Inside each Profile, you'll find that person's active and archived provincial memberships alongside their club and event registrations.

Finding a member's profile (steps 2 - 7)

Let's get started! To find an individual using your provincial **Membership** menu, select Membership Organizations from the left navigation menu.

From **Dashboard Home**, scroll down and select the member from the registration list. Select VIEW / MANAGE.

Alternatively, organizations collecting upgrade requests using an Uplifter Event Dashboard can use the **Events** menu to get started.

From an Event Dashboard, select the registrant and then navigate through to their Membership Details page on the active membership.

Updating the category and documents (steps 8 - 14)

From the individual's **Membership Details** page we can now make all of the necessary updates and re-issue their membership.

Scroll down and open the **Attributes & Records** section. If this section is not visible on your admin account, please contact [support@uplifterinc.com](mailto:support@uplifterinc.com) or your onboarding specialist to ensure your account privileges match the agreed-upon service level.

The EDIT button is visible and can be used to make the desired change. However, if you need to update and reissue the member card, we recommend skipping past this section for now and save you a step!

Instead, scroll down to the member's PURCHASE GROUPs. Use the **edit** button to surface dropdown menus for each attribute & record.

Use the dropdown menus to update their category. However, take care to ensure the **age category** remains consistent.

When ready, click **Save**. Updates made in this Purchase Group dropdown will then be reflected in the **Attributes & Records** section above.

The **Documents** section will then be refreshed and you can review the updated documents by selecting the **View** button.

Adding notes and notifying the member (steps 15–16)

Before finishing, consider adding an **Admin Note** for future reference. Only provincial administrators on your financial account can view these notes.

When ready, click the **Re-send Issued Membership Email** or use the prompt in the **Purchase Group** section. Your member will then receive the automated membership confirmation email with their updated documents attached.
