Updated “This Need Will Be Met By” Section in Each PLAAFP

The “This Need Will Be Met By” area within each PLAAFP has been updated specific to Accommodations, Modifications, and/or Suplemental Aids (AMSA). If AMSA is selected, then the specific support type(s) needed must be selected. See the following: Accommodations Assistive Technology Modifications Supplemental Aids and Services Supports for School Personnel The update will automatically pull the selected support type(s) into the Accommodations Module.

The Communication Module is used in this example. Click 'View' on Communication tile.

If needed, select 'Accommodation(s), Modification(s), and/or Supplemental Aid'.

Select the type(s) from the dropdown menu. More than one can be selected.

Click "Save & Complete"

Next, click 'View' on Accommodations Module.

Any type selected in the PLAAFP will automatically become a required item in the Accommodations, Modifications, Supplemental Aids, Supports, and Assistive Technology module before the IEP can be completed. This update helps ensure that all identified student needs are properly documented and addressed throughout the IEP process. In the example below, Assistive Technology was selected for Communication and Social-Emotional.

The same Assistive Technology support can be created from either the Communication or Social-Emotional module.

In this example, we will create two separate Assistive Technology supports. We'll remove the Social-Emotional support, and Backpack will still indicate that another Assistive Technology support is required.

Next, create the Assistive Technology support associated with Social-Emotional. Once all required information has been entered, click *Save and Complete*.
