Uploading a List

This guide provides instructions for properly preparing and uploading a contact list to itrac, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations. Before you upload a list, you must first prepare the spreadsheet.

Tip! Only .xls and .xlsx files are supported.

If there is any text above the table, remove it. The table should always start in cell A1.

Highlight the entire sheet and clear formats.

Ensure that every column has a header title.

If you plan on using our salutation feature (first name mail merge), you must have a first name for each contact.

Important! You must include a Province field for all contacts. itrac will be tracking the open and click activity for all contacts, except where the Province field - is blank - contains Quebec (or a variation of Quebec such as Que, QC, PQ etc)

Save and close your file.

Now your file is ready to be uploaded into itrac

Click on the 'Lists' tile

Click on 'Upload List' button

Click on 'Choose File'

Click on your list.

Click 'Upload File'

Leave the top 3 check boxes in their default state (top 2 checked, bottom one unchecked). This configuration ensures that any updated data for a contact already present in your itrac account will be added to their existing profile, preventing the creation of duplicate profiles

This section confirms the CASL status of the list. Choose "Express Consent" from the first drop down menu. Choose the most applicable Source and Method from the other drop down menus. Note: individual contact CASL compliance will be managed within Salesforce.

This section manages your column mappings. Review all column names and ensure they are matched to the correct attribute. **Notes:** 1. **Important:** make sure you have mapped your Province field to the correct itracMarketer attribute. This is the attribute required to ensure you capture contact tracking. 2. If any of your excel columns show as red, you will need to choose the most applicable attribute from the drop down menu. If you do not do this, the data in that column will not be uploaded into itrac.

This step can be skipped. You should NOT select a signature from the menu.

You can choose to upload the contacts to an existing list by choosing a list from the drop down menu.

Or you can choose to upload the contact as a new list by entering a list name here

Click 'upload to new list'

Click 'here' to view the list upload status

The status will change to 'Complete' once the upload has finished

To view your list, navigate to the 'My Lists' tab
