User-Initiated Enrollment (iOS and iPadOS) - User Experience

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for enrolling your Mac into the UCLA-wide Jamf Pro instance, through the enrollment invitation sent to you by your local IT team.

As part of an upgrade to our Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platform, all Apple mobile devices are being enrolled into a new UCLA-wide Jamf Pro instance. This guide outlines the steps required to enroll your Apple device through an enrollment invitation sent by the local IT team, specific to your department: <https://dts.ucla.edu/customer-support/it-resources-ucla>

When a Jamf administrator for your department sends an **Enrollment Invitation** to you via email, it will come from: [jamfnotifications@it.ucla.edu](mailto:jamfnotifications@it.ucla.edu) Open the link from your mobile device.

Tap "Continue" to proceed with downloading the MDM profile.

Tap "Allow" to download the MDM profile.

Tap "Close" once the profile has downloaded.

Navigate to "Settings"

Tap "Profile Downloaded"

Alternatively, while in **Settings**, navigate to "General" and then " VPN & Device Management". The location for **Device Management** may differ depending on the version of iOS/iPadOS.

Under **Downloaded Profile,** tap the "MDM Profile" listed.

You can confirm that the profile source is [ucla.jamfcloud.com](http://ucla.jamfcloud.com) by selecting "More Details". Tap "Install" to proceed.

Enter your device's passcode.

On the **Warning** screen, tap "Install".

Tap "Install"

The **Mobile Device Management** section should list https://ucla.jamfcloud.com. Tap "Install" to proceed.

Tap "Trust" to proceed with enrolling the mobile device.

Once the profile install is complete, you should be taken back to **Settings**.
