Using BSP LUMI to Generate Quiz Questions

Navigate to the BSP course in which you wish to add LUMI-generated quiz questions.

Navigate to the Quizzes Tool in BSP. Please note, your Quizzes tool may not be listed directly on the NavBar.

Click the "Question Library" tab in the Quizzes tool.

If you already have Sections created in the Question Library, navigate to the appropriate Section in which you wish to house the new questions. Once you are in the correct Section (or main area) of the Question Library, Click "Generate Questions."

Click the dropdown menu to determine the content source for your LUMI-generated quiz questions. Choose between Course Content or Custom Text. This tutorial demonstrates how to generate questions from Course Content.

Click "Select Content" to choose the course content LUMI will use to generate quiz questions.

Select the content Module/Folder that contains the Topic that will be used to generate the quiz questions.

Select the Topic that will be used to generate the quiz questions. Once selected, you will be able to further specify which content from that Topic will be used.

Choose the number of questions that will be generated.

Select the Question Type from the dropdown menu. Choose between dropdown, Fill-in-the-blanks, multiple select, multiple choice, and true/false.

Optional: Select the desired Revised Bloom's Taxonomy level for the generated questions. Choose between: Remember, Understand, Apply, Analyze, Evaluate, and Create.

Click Generate

All LUMI-generated questions should be reviewed for accuracy and intent. Click "Pending Review" next to a question.

Review the Question Text and edit, if necessary

Review the Answer Options and edit, if necessary.

Adjust the Default Points value, if preferred. These points can be adjusted when creating the quiz as well.

Some questions require additional selections, such as fill-in-the-blank questions. Ensure you review all options and make the appropriate selection.

If you have additional questions to edit, select "Update and Next". Repeat the editing steps for each subsequent question. If you do not have additional questions, Skip to the next step.

When you have finished editing the generated questions, click "Keep and Finish."

At this point, your generated questions should indicate either "Edited" or "Reviewed."

Once you have confirmed all questions have been edited/reviewed, click "Save to Section."

Select "Save to Current Section" or select "Create a new Section". Click "Save."

Your LUMI-generated questions will appear in your Question Library. You may use these questions to create Quizzes.
