Navigate to the IRS Direct Pay website: <https://www.irs.gov/payments/direct-pay-with-bank-account>

Click "Pay individual tax"

Click "Make a payment"

Reason for Payment: Estimated Tax

Apply Payment to: 1040ES

Tax Period for Payment: Select 2025 (or the year in which you want the estimated payments applied to)

Click "Continue"

Click "Continue" to confirm

IRS DirectPay uses your previous year's tax return to verify your identity. Click here to select the year you wish to use for verification.

Example: If you chose 2021 as your tax year for verification, enter information from your 2021 1040 tax return in the fields on this screen since it has been fully processed by the IRS already.

Click the "I accept..." field, then click "CONTINUE"

Now you will enter the amount to pay, date of withdrawal, and banking information (routing & account numbers) for your estimated tax payment.

Please ensure you are making your estimated tax payments on time: Q1 due 4/15, Q2 due 6/15, Q3 due 9/15, and Q4 due 1/15.

Please print/save a copy of the confirmation screen showing date & amount paid, and **upload to your Canopy client portal.**
