Using Permanent QR Codes for A Quicker Sign-In

Permanent QR Codes can allow staff, residents and guests to easily sign-in and out with a permanently assigned QR Code that can be downloaded & printed on a badge or saved in a phone’s photo gallery. Not only does this speed up the sign-in, but it can improve satisfaction at the Kiosk because the flow may feel less cumbersome. An Accushield QR Code scanner is required for utilizing this functionality.

Downloading Resident QR Codes

To download a resident's QR code, click on the "Accounts" tab.

Click "Resident" from the dropdown.

Find and click on the name of the resident you want to download a QR code for.

A profile card will pop-up - if you scroll, you should see a section called Permanent QR Access Code. Clicking "Download QR" will download a PNG file to your device.

Here's an example of how the PNG files will look when downloaded onto your device. You can see that the resident / staff member's name is associated with the file. You should be able to print, email or text these PNGs to the correct person.

"Regenerate QR" will generate a new QR Code, making the previous one obsolete. If you do the regenerate the code, you will need to re-download it afterwards.

Downloading Staff QR Codes

To download a QR Code for a staff member, click "Accounts" and choose "Staff" from the dropdown.

You will see "Permanent QR" easily downloadable on the staff roster page. Click the downward arrow to download the QR Code for the associated staff member. At this current time, QR Codes do have to be downloaded one-by-one.

You can also access the QR Code by clicking on the staff member's name.

This brings up their profile and the "Permanent QR Access Code" is in the same place as it was for residents.

Downloading Family, Provider & Volunteer QR Codes

Click "Accounts" If you're wanting to download a QR code for a frequent family member or friend of a resident, choose the "Family / Guest" option. If you're wanting to download a QR code for a third-party service or care provider, choose the "Service Provider" option. If you're wanting to download a QR code for a volunteer, choose the "Volunteer" option.

Search for your preferred person using either their first & last name or their phone number and click "Apply" once done.

Your chosen person should appear from the search. From there, you can download their assigned permanent QR code with the downward arrow icon. This will download the QR code onto your device. From there, you can choose to print it, email it or text it to the correct person.

How They Work

Next time the user signs in or signs out of the community, they can scan their QR code at the scanner placed by the kiosk. This should reduce the time spent at the kiosk, as it will eliminate the need for them to choose their visitor type and input their profile details. Some communities have: - Downloaded the codes & created physical badges for staff and residents to use - Downloaded the codes and kept them in a binder at the front desk, for the concierge to provide - Encouraged families and staff to save the codes in their phone's wallet, for easy access - Set the code as a resident's phone wallpaper, for easy access and scanning
