Using Photoshop to Expand an Image for Blog Headers

With your image open, select the crop tool.

In the crop ratio area enter 1650 px for the width.

And enter 470 px for the height.

Use the crop handle bars to pull out the crop area.

Make the crop area as wide as needed and center image for best results.

If your Contextual Task Bar is not already visible, you an find in the Window menu.

On the Contextual Task Bar, click Generative Expand and then the Generate button.

Wait for the software to generate the options.

View the Properties panel to toggle through the variations, choose one.

If you don't like the options, click the Generate button above to see more.

Once you found an option you like, save it.
