Logging into your Chromebook

Power on your Chromebook. The power button is either on the side of the device, or on the keyboard, depending on which model you have.

Enter your OPUSD email address on the start up screen, then click "Next"

Enter your OPUSD password and click "Next"

If prompted, accept Google Terms. Click the down arrow to scroll to the bottom

Click the Accept button. You will only have to do this the first time on a Chromebook:

Now you are logged into the Chromebook. On the left side of the task bar, you can click the circle to see more Apps. In the middle of the task bar is where you will find the Chrome App to use the Internet. ‼️ Be sure to "Sign Out" of your Chromebook whenever you are not using it so that someone else can't open the device and then act as you and have access to all your files!!

On the far right of the task bar, you can click on the time to see more settings, including how much battery life you have left, what wifi you are connected to, start a screen capture to record your clicks and adjust your sound:
Accessing Clever to Open Your School Apps
Tip! We use Clever to sign into many of our Educational Apps. Follow these steps to login to Clever:

On your task bar, click on the Google Chrome icon to launch a browser:

Your browser window will open to Clever automatically. Click the "Login with Google" option. If you have trouble, you can always email technology@opusd.org

This is your Clever Dashboard. You will see Apps that your teacher(s) has enabled for you. You can click the heart to mark it as a favorite and it will stay at the top of your Dashboard:

Students in grades 5-12 have a school issued email address. This is the same as your Chromebook login, so if you are logged into your Chromebook, you will automatically be signed into your Gmail and your Google Drive as well. Open a new tab in your Chrome browser. Then click on the waffle to access all your Google Apps:

When using your Chromebook for state testing, AP testing, or PSAT testing, you must use the secure browser. You can access that BEFORE logging into your Chromebook by clicking the Apps icon next to the power icon:

From the District Homepage, or your school homepage, Click "Q Connect"

On the Q Connect homepage, click the Student Connection button:

Enter your **student ID number** and password, then click "Login".
