Using voice transcription on the Scribe desktop app

This guide provides essential steps for using voice transcription in the Scribe desktop app, enhancing your productivity by allowing you to capture both clicks and spoken instructions simultaneously. Available for Pro and Enterprise users.

Scribe

In either the app Windows or Mac app, click the **gear icon**, then select “**Settings**.”

Toggle on “**Voice Transcription**.”

Close the **Settings** window.

Click "**Start Capture**" to capture your clicks AND spoken step instructions in your Scribe.

Once the capture starts, click here to enable Voice Transcription:

You can pause Voice Transcription while capturing by clicking here again:

Guidance on capturing a Scribe with voice narration: 1. **Start capture:** Begin your Scribe capture as you normally would. 2. **Speak before each action**: Before clicking, typing, or performing any step, explain what you're doing or why you're doing it. 3. **Take the action**: After speaking, proceed with the action (click, type, navigate, etc.). 4. **Repeat for each step** following this pattern: - **Talk**: Describe the step. - **Action**: Perform the step. - **Talk**: Explain the next step. - **Action**: Execute the next step. 5. **Complete the capture**
