VAT Settings (global and individual)

Learn how to enable VAT on your Squeegee account and edit both global and individual customer VAT settings.

Global Tax Settings

Click into 'Settings'

and 'Invoicing & Payments'

Enable the 'Sales Tax' toggle to enable VAT globally on your account. This will add tax onto existing job prices from now on.

You can also choose to hide or show tax on your invoices/quotes by enabling or disabling the 'Hide Tax on Invoices and Quotes' setting. \ If disabled, VAT will be added to job prices but will not be displayed on quotes or invoices.

You can also adjust your Tax Rate just below

along with your Tax Number

and the Tax Label you want to be displayed on invoices/quotes.

Finally, there is the 'Price Includes Tax'. This will determine whether the enabled Sales Tax will be added **on top** of existing job prices, or if it is already **included** in them. If Price Includes Tax, the tax on invoice will be displayed as a separate figure (if not hidden) but this will be deducted from your existing prices.

Individual Tax Settings

To edit individual customer tax settings, you can select your desired customer

and use the top right three dots to 'Edit Customer'.

Here, you will see the option to override the tax rate for this particular customer.

You can also override the option to hide or show the tax value on invoices/quotes created for this customer.
