View All Vacant Positions

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for viewing all existing, vacant positions within your department using the Position Control Request page in UCPath.

Navigate to UCPath [https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu](https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/home)

On the **Workforce Administration** homepage, click the **Position Management** tile.

On the left navigation pane, select **Position Control Request**.

Select the **Update Vacant Position** option.

Click the **Next** button.

In the search criteria, enter the business unit assigned to your department. - LACMP for UCLA Campus - LAMED for UCLA Health

Enter or select your 6-digit department code. **NOTE:** UCPath places 2 zeros at the end of the 4-digit code.

Click the **Search** button.

Click the **Export to Excel** icon to download the results as an Excel file.

The total number of existing vacant positions is listed in the header. **NOTE:** UCPath only displays up to 300 search results.

Click the **Clear** button to clear the search results.

Click the **Return** button to go back to the *Add/Update Position Request* page.
