View Position Summary in UCPath

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for viewing position summary, including all changes that have occurred to the position over time.

Navigate to UCPath [https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu](https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/home)

Navigate with Classic Menu

Begin on the **Workforce Administration** homepage.

Click the compass icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Select the **Menu** option on the **NavBar** to open the classic menu. Click through the following options to access the *Position Summary* page: Organizational Development > Position Management > Review Position/Budget Info > *Position Summary*

Navigate with GL Access

Select the **General Ledger Administration** tile.

On the **General Ledger Administration** homepage, click the **General Ledger Tasks** tile.

On the left navigation pane, expand the **Position Data** folder.

Select the **Position Summary** menu option.

Search Criteria

Enter search criteria in one or more search fields. For best results, enter the position number.

Click the **Search** button.

Position Summary Page

On the **General** tab, review the following data: - Effective dates of all Position Data updates - Action Reason codes associated with Position Data updates - Position Status & Date (e.g., Approved, Frozen, Proposed, Inactive) - Max Head Count - Budgeted

On the **Work Location** tab, review the following data: - Reports To Position - Short description of Reports To Position title - Business Unit & Location - Job Code - Department description

On the **Payroll Information** tab, review the following data: - Standard Hours - Work Period

Click the **expand columns** icon to view all tab data within one window.

Click the **Return to Search** button to view another position record.
