View Template Transaction Status - SS Smart HR Transactions

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to view the status of a Smart HR Template transaction while it is within local approval at the location using the SS Smart HR Transactions page in UCPath.

Navigate to UCPath [https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu](https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/home)

On the **Workforce Administration** homepage, click the **HR Tasks** tile.

On the left navigation pane, expand the **Smart HR Templates** folder.

Select the **SS Smart HR Transactions** option.

Enter the applicable search criteria. For best results, use the **Empl ID** field. **NOTE:** The SS Smart HR Transactions page is not restricted by department security and you are able to view all transactions within your business unit.

Click the **Search** button to return results.

Click anywhere in the row for the Transaction ID you wish to review.

The **Transaction Status** indicates the current status of the template transaction in the approval workflow engine (AWE).

If you need to review the template transaction details, click the hyperlink of their name to open the template details.

The **Type of Hire** field identifies whether the individual is an employee or contingent worker.

The **Start Date** field is the effective date of the template transaction.

The **Action** field indicates the Action Reason Code for the template. In this example, RET indicates this is a retirement template.

The **Initiator Comment** field contains information entered by the Initiator that is intended to be reviewed by the Approver.

The **Requester ID** field displays the employee ID and name of the Template Initiator. The **Requested** field displays the date and time the template transaction was submitted to AWE.

The **Approver Comment** field is used by the Approver to communicate an action taken, such as an update made to the transaction or why the transaction was denied or pushed back.

To view the transaction workflow, click the arrow icon to the left of the Transaction ID at the bottom of the screen.

Once the transaction workflow is expanded, the system shows who approved the transaction and the date/time the transaction was approved.
