Viewing and Joining Groups
This guide helps you easily find, join, and manage groups in VU Collaborate.

Log into [VU Collaborate](https://vucollaborate.vu.edu.au/d2l/home), and navigate to a unit space.

If you have a **white navbar,** click **"Communication"**

Then **"Groups"**
**Heads up!** We’re updating the navigation bar in VU Collaborate to make it even easier for you to find what you need. Here’s a quick look at what’s changing:

If you have a **blue navbar**, click **"Assessments"**

Then **"Groups"**

Under **My Groups**, you can see the groups you're a member of. Within each **group category**, you'll see the specific **group** you've been assigned to. Groups starting with 'AP' are your class groups.
Self-enrolment groups let you choose which group to join. If a self-enrolment group has been set up for a Group Assessment, **you will need to join the group** before you **can see the Assessment Dropbox.**

To view self-enrol groups, select **View Available Groups**.

Choose a group, then select **Join Group**.

If you want to see who’s in a group, click **the link** showing the **number of members**.

If you selected the wrong group, you could choose to **Leave Group**.
