Voice Commands

This guide offers a simple way to enhance your computer experience using voice commands for popular applications like YouTube to navigate hands-free. You'll also learn how to edit and customize these controls.

Voice commands are words or phrases you use to control your computer. Cephable voice commands are prebuilt out of the box for many of the apps and programs you already use. To get started using voice commands, click "Start Microphone" in your panel.

You can see the available voice commands in your panel for the current app. In this case, we will be using commands to control this YouTube video.

Try saying "play", "pause", "skip forward five seconds", or even "activate closed captions"

In YouTube - you can also say "go to search bar" to navigate to that area of the page.

Then, you could even use quick dictation in "Listening Mode" to type short words or phrases using the trigger word "type" Say, "type birds" so Cephable will help you search for your next topic in YouTube - hands free!

Then use the voice command "enter" to begin your search.

And your new results for "birds" appear.

If you ever want to edit or customize your voice commands, click on any command in the panel and then you can edit in Cephable's main window.

Expand this command by clicking on it in the main window

Click "Edit"

Click "Add another input"

Click "Voice Controls"

And type the new voice command you'd like to use. Click "Save"
