WRDSB - Registering a Child for the 2025-2026 School Year

This guide provides a step-by-step process for registering your child for the 2025-2026 school year with the Waterloo Region District School Board.

Log into your account and select the 'Register for 2025-2026 School Year' next to your child's name.

Select the 'Waterloo Region District School Board'

Review the childcare information on this page to ensure that it is correct. Select the school your child will be attending from the 'School' drop down menu. Select whether or not your child resides at the address on the account full time. If the child does not you will be presented with the option to add the second address. Demographic information regarding First Nations/ Inuit and Metis family as well as Francophone information must also be completed. All schedules will start on the first week of school. Confirm your child's subsidy status and select 'Next Step.'

On Step 2, you will be required to add any additional emergency contacts, as well as the contact information for additional contacts who may drop off or pickup your child. If you have existing contacts in the system you can select them from the saved contact drop down at the top of the page. Once that saved contact is selected you can select 'Use.' If you would like to add a new contact select 'Add.' You can also select 'Edit' to remove or add the contact as a pick-up or drop-off or emergency contact. You can also edit the contact details if required. If you do not have any emergency contacts you can select the 'I do not have an emergency contact' checkbox.

When you add a new contact, you must complete required fields highlighted in red. Choose the 'Type of Contact' that you would like to include for this contact as well. Once you completed select 'Save.'

You will see this has saved and the new contact was added. Select 'Next Step.' Note: You can add as many additional contacts as you would like.

Step 3 will focus on Health Information. You will be asked about potential allergies your child has. Select the applicable option. If the child does have an allergy please type this allergy in. You can select 'No' from the drop down menu if there are no allergies to report. You can then select 'Continue' to move to the next step.

If your child has a medical condition select 'Yes' and add in the condition in the text box provided. You will also be asked if your child is permitted to apply non prescription medication (list provided below). You will be prompted to complete a consent confirming your selections.

Below is the summary of your non prescription medication selections. Please review the summary and type your name in the text box to confirm. Once this is done select 'Save' to continue to the next step. You can also download a copy of the consent by selecting 'Print Consent.'

Step 4 is the 'Care Requirements' section where you select the schedule that best suits your childcare needs. You will have the option to select from full time care which would be Before and/or After School Monday to Friday or part time care for the fixed days listed below. All childcare schedules for 2025-26 are fixed schedules. Please select the options that best suit your needs.

You will also be able to select care for Winter Break, March Break and PD Days. When registering for Winter Break and March Break your child will be registered for all days offered during those weeks. There is no option to choose individual days. PD Days can be selected by the dates listed below. Select 'Next Step' to confirm your care requirements.

Step 5 is where you acknowledge that you have reviewed the Parent Handbook policies and procedures. To consent, type your name in the text box and click 'I Agree.'

Your registration has now been submitted for processing. Please review the text that appears on your screen and add [no-reply@onehsn.com](mailto:no-reply@onehsn.com) to your email safe list. to ensure that you receive notifications when your registration has been processed. Please note if you have additional children to register you can 'Save & Exit to Home Screen to apply your other child. If you are adding a new child click on 'Save & Add Another Child.'

On the Home page you will see that this child's registration has been submitted for Processing. Once it is processed you will receive a notification and additional buttons will appear next to your child's name. When your child's registration is processed, you will be able to see a summary of your registration by clicking on the 'Review Registration' button.
